Free Tax Filing Services Make Tax Season Easy
This year, we’ve partnered with a team of IRS-certified volunteers and 30+ public and private partners throughout Orange County, including AARP, to provide free tax prep services to area seniors. Not only can we help you deal with tax season’s hassle—getting your returns done in a timely manner—but we can also help you identify key opportunities for credits and refunds.
Here’s how it works: If you’re a senior, you live in Orange County, and your annual taxable income is $60,000 or less, you may be able to file your taxes completely free of charge, all thanks to OC Free Tax Prep and over 500 IRS- certified volunteers.

Also, note that our volunteer tax preparers can help you receive a bigger tax refund and credit through the California Earned Income Tax Credit! This credit is available for California residents who made less than $30,000 in 2022.
Both the state and federal EITCs are meant to help low- and moderate-income individuals and families—and many of our seniors meet that criteria! California taxpayers who claim their EITC may receive hundreds or even thousands of dollars of cash back. That’s money that goes straight into your pocket, and you can use it to offset the cost of groceries, gasoline, or whatever else!
